The couch project 31 Dec 03

I am tearing apart my leather couch. Pandora chewed through the leather on both sides of it.  It turned out very well. i'll take pictures of it when I finish cleaning the house.First I had to learn how to remove the leather so I could sew it.  This is the arm she ripped...

with my überl33t sewing skills, I was able to make a repair...

why no, thats NOT pleather :P I save the REAL leather for my trench coats.  With a little cleaning up, you'd hardly notice that there was a gaping hole there.  ALso, i filled the backfoam of the arm with new foam.  There is an identical hole on the OTHER side of my couch which will need reparing as well.  Once i'm finished, i'll have matching pleather mends!  I believe my couch was that black when I first got it.
